Struggling to afford a medical procedure? You’ve come to the right place.
As the quality of healthcare in the USA declines and prices continue to rise, it is becoming more and more commonplace for everyday people to forgo medical care simply because they cannot afford it. This should not be the case, but it is an unfortunate reality.
We need a solution. I wish I could change the situation in our country, but for now all I can do is offer advice to others who may need alternative options for receiving medical care.
Medical Defectors will be used to share information on how to travel internationally to receive medical treatment. In many cases, the cost of getting a passport, booking round-trip flights, paying for a hotel stay for the full course of treatment, and paying for the medical treatment itself (including prescriptions and other necessary drugs) ends up being cheaper altogether than the co-pays we are left with after insurance pays their share. For those of us without health insurance, the savings are even greater.
In addition to being able to get medical care more affordably, traveling internationally for care can allow us to circumvent the roadblocks placed upon us by greedy insurance companies who continuously deny necessary care to increase their profits.
By sharing this information, I hope to help many people get medical care that they otherwise could not. I also hope that if enough people travel out of the USA for medical care, the healthcare system in the USA will be forced to reform in our favor, as they will not be profiting off of us nearly as much.
Between my personal experiences receiving healthcare in foreign countries and the information I’ve collected from other travelers and through research, I feel prepared to help you begin the process of planning your treatment abroad.
Please feel free to contact me with specific questions or for advice.
